Think you might be pregnant? A blood test that detects beta human chorionic gonadotropin (beta-hCG) is one of the most reliable methods for confirming pregnancy. This hormone is a key indicator of pregnancy, making blood tests a widely used option for early confirmation.

A pregnancy blood test in Singapore is a medical procedure that detects the presence of the hormone beta-hCG in a woman's bloodstream. Beta-hCG is produced by the cells of the placenta shortly after the embryo attaches to the uterine lining and is an early indicator of pregnancy.

There are two types of pregnancy blood tests:

• Qualitative hCG Blood Test: Determines if hCG is present in the blood.
• Quantitative hCG Blood Test (or beta hCG test): Measures the specific level of hCG in the blood.
