Treadmill Stress Test (TMX) Singapore

A treadmill stress test helps assess how well your heart responds to physical activity. During the test, an electrocardiogram (ECG) monitors your heart’s electrical activity while you walk on a treadmill.

Changes in blood pressure, heart rate, ECG readings, or worsening symptoms during the test may suggest coronary artery disease (CAD). In many cases, a blood test may also be recommended to check for cholesterol levels or other markers related to heart health. As part of a comprehensive health screening, these tests can help detect heart-related issues early.

Based on the results, your doctor will discuss any necessary follow-ups, including further evaluation or a heart check-up if needed.

If you do not have a referral letter, you will be required to consult our doctor before undergoing any tests. There will be a consultation fee of $38.15 NETT.

1. Take a light meal 2 hours before your appointment, unless you are required to fast.
2. Do not apply lotion, oil or powder to the chest as these may affect adherence of the ECG electrodes.
3. Bring your running shoes, socks, exercise attire and towel.
4. For males, please shave your chest before coming so that the ECG electrodes can be placed on your chest.
5. Informed consent prior to the test is required.

2. Identification Card/Documentations and Memo/Referral Letter (if any).
3. For Payment: Cash, NETS, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Union Pay, GrabPay or PayNow.

1. On average, most of our patients finish their treadmill stress test within 30 to 60 minutes during off-peak hours. Please feel free to enquire about the best appointment times with the least waiting time.
2. The report will be ready in 72 hours and will be emailed to you.
