What is an X-Ray?
An X-ray is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses ionising radiation to capture detailed images of the inside of the body. As X-rays pass through tissues, they are absorbed in different amounts: bones absorb more due to their dense structure and appear white on the image, while soft tissues absorb less and appear in shades of grey.
