Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)
Last updated: Jun 17, 2025

What Is CHAS?
The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) offers subsidies for medical and dental
services to
Singapore Citizens. This includes Pioneer Generation (PG) and Merdeka Generation (MG) cardholders,
at selected General Practitioner (GP) and dental clinics.
As part of the Healthier SG initiative, CHAS encourages
preventive healthcare by promoting regular health screenings and supporting the management of
chronic illnesses. Additionally, CHAS works with the Chronic Disease Management Programme
(CDMP), enabling the use of MediSave together with CHAS
subsidies for outpatient treatments.
ATA Medical is a clinic accredited under
Healthier SG and CHAS, where cardholders can access CHAS, PG, and MG subsidies for a wide range of
healthcare services customized to your needs.
Eligibility for CHAS Card
All Singaporeans are eligible for a CHAS card, with benefits tiered according to household monthly income per person or the Annual Value (AV) of the home:
CHAS Tiers |
Household monthly income per person (for households with income) |
Annual Value (AV) of home (for households with no income) |
---|---|---|
CHAS Blue | $1,200 and below | $21,000 and below |
CHAS Orange | $1,201 to $2,000 | $21,001 to $25,000 |
CHAS Green | Above $2,000 | Above $2,000 |
Household monthly income per person = Total gross monthly household income / total number of
household members. This can be computed using the calculator provided on the CHAS website.
Annual Value of home = Estimated gross annual rent of a property (excluding furnishings and
maintenance fees). It is determined by IRAS and can be checked via myTax Portal.

- Hard Copy: Download and complete the CHAS application form. Mail it to P.O. Box 680, Bukit Merah Central Post Office, Singapore 911536, along with any required documents, such as foreign identification documents (e.g., long-term visit pass or work permit) for non-Singaporean household members.
Processing typically takes about 15 working days. If you do not receive a response within this time, check your status online or call the CHAS hotline at 1800-275-2427 (1800-ASK-CHAS).
