The QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus) test is a blood test used to detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria that causes tuberculosis (TB).

As TB remains a significant global health concern, early detection is important for effective treatment and prevention. Unlike traditional skin tests, the QFT-Plus test provides a laboratory-based method to identify TB infection with greater accuracy.

This test is commonly required for employment, school enrolment, and immigration examinations, and may be included in routine health screenings.

There is no fasting or any special preparation required.
