QuantiFERON TB Gold Plus

The QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus) test is an blood test used to detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB).

As TB remains a significant global health concern, early diagnosis is crucial for timely treatment and prevention. Unlike traditional skin tests, the QFT-Plus test provides a precise, laboratory-based assessment of TB infection.

It is also commonly required for health screenings, including employment, school enrolment, and immigration processes, to help maintain public health and workplace safety.

There is no fasting or any special preparation required.

A blood draw is conducted in our clinic and the sample will be sent to the laboratory.
